Welcome to our School
Since 1935 Broadlands has served the families of Keynsham and south Bristol in the West of England. We are a popular, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school taking children from ages 11 to 16 and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area. For every student who attends our school, we aim to value, develop and nurture each one of them; raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and promote a life long love of learning. Please use this website to find out more information about Broadlands and please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in joining our happy and vibrant community.
Dear Parent, Carer, Member of Staff or Friend of Broadlands School
The school needs your support to vote for a community project that will benefit our students and the wider community. Please open the above A Theatre for Keynsham link to find out how you can help.

Academy Status
Broadlands is delighted to announce that it will become a sponsored Academy with the AET – Academies Enterprise Trust.
Details of the conversion to Academy Status and the exact timings are still being determined and further details will be issued as soon as possible.
We are saddened to see Ms Hocking leave us at the end of the summer term after 10 years dedicated service to the school and the community. It is anticipated AET will appoint a new Principal for January 2013 with an interim from September 2012 but the time frame is yet to be confirmed.
Broadlands is looking forward to continuing to provide the education of choice for students and their parents and to exciting developments in the future.
Further details about AET can be found at www.academiesenterprisetrust.org
Tuesday 21st June saw the launch of a Theatre for Keynsham. A packed audience in the school hall heard Brian Davies, Chair of Governors and Justine Hocking, Headteacher outline their vision for the hall to become a state of the art theatre. Councillors, neighbours, friends of Broadlands, staff and students were treated to performances by school and community users of the current facilities and an Action Group was formed to help promote and fundraise for this fantastic project. If you would like to help in any way or join the Action Group please email Brian Davies, Chair of Governors at enquiries@broadlands.bathnes.sch.uk
